Galito’s Somalia is operated by Feeto Foods Limited (UBI: 16337940973), licensed by the Somali Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which is the master franchise holder of the Galito’s brand, under license from Galito’s International (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa with registration number: 2003/003045/07, and trades as “Galito’s Somalia” (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Feeto Foods Limited collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit www.galitos.so (the “Website”).

For the purposes of the Somali Data Protection Act, Law No. 005 of 2023 (the “DPA”), the data controller is Feeto Foods Limited. All references to “Galito’s”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy mean Feeto Foods Limited.

1. Legal Framework

We comply with the Data Protection Act, Law No. 005 of 2023 of the Federal Republic of Somalia, enforced by the Somali Data Protection Authority (DPA). This Act is grounded in the Constitution of Somalia, which guarantees the right to privacy.

You hereby authorize us to process your personal data for the purposes of performing Galito’s legitimate business interests, including statistical analysis, marketing our services/products, and credit control. You also authorize us to process and transmit your personal data in the manner contemplated in this Privacy Policy.

2. Collection of Your Personal Information

Galito’s collects personally identifiable information, such as your email address, home or work address, and telephone numbers. Galito’s also collects anonymous demographic information which is not necessarily unique to you, such as your postal code, age, gender, preferences, interests, and favourites.

Galito’s encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to so that you can understand how those websites collect, use, and share your information. Galito’s is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Galito’s Websites.

Galito’s collects and uses your personal information to operate the Galito’s Websites and deliver the services/products you have requested or are interested in. We are responsible for ensuring that customer information is complete, up to date, and accurate before it is used. This means that it may be necessary to request that customers, from time to time, update their information and confirm that it is still accurate. If we are unable to reach a customer for this purpose, their information will be deleted from our records in accordance with the storage periods governed by law.

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is responsible for administering and overseeing the implementation of this Statement of Policy and, as applicable, supporting guidelines, standard operating procedures, notices, consents and appropriate related documents and processes. All employees, and individuals directly associated with Galito’s are trained, according to their functions, in the regulatory requirements, policies and guidelines that govern the protection of personal information.
